AIG Life Adds Care Cover to Whole of Life Insurance
16th November, 2015
AIG Life has launched a Whole of Life insurance policy intended to protect the assets of customers if they are no longer able to live independently. The much anticipated cover means customers can buy up to £400,000 AIG Care Cover with their Whole of Life insurance policy, of which 75% can be used as Care Cover if the customer is unable to complete a minimum number of tasks as defined by AIG Life. If the Care Cover is not used, then the Whole of Life policy will pay out the full sum assured in the event of death or terminal illness as usual.
The new Care Cover can be claimed at any age between 17 and 84 years, and as with all Whole of Life policies from AIG Life, it comes with access to Best Doctors, the renowned second opinion medical service, as well as access to the Claims Support Fund. Furthermore, the policy can also be put directly into Trust online, without the need for signatures, to further assist customers with estate planning and protecting assets.
Although still designed to protect assets from inheritance tax (IHT), cover funeral costs and deliver peace of mind, AIG’s Whole of Life cover options are now more flexible, to protect the needs of customers if their circumstances were to change dramatically. Steve Casey, head of marketing and propositions at AIG Life, said: “AIG Care Cover with Whole of Life Insurance has been designed to give customers peace of mind that there's a plan in place to help with these costs if they should be unfortunate enough, at any age, to need life-long care, and to provide a life insurance legacy for loved ones if they don't."
AIG Life recognise that a good Whole of Life proposition should meet the individual needs of their customers, which means a range of flexible options enabling you to tailor the cover to your specific circumstances and the needs of your family.
