Extra Care from Friends Life
5th July, 2016
Leading provider Friends Life has built on their already valuable policy benefits, such as their access to Best Doctors, to bring clients Extra Care Cover as well. As a provider that believes in leading the way in the market with enhancements and added value to its policies, they have now made this latest improvement to all its new Protect+ critical illness and critical illness with life policies.
Designed to add that “added level of financial comfort when clients need it most”, this new policy extra provides a payment £50,000, on top of the sum assured, if you are diagnosed with a critical illness or permanent disability that leaves you with severe and permanent symptoms. This comes at no extra cost with all relevant Protect+ policies and applies to all policies quoted on or after 27th June 2016. It can also cover customers who are diagnosed with specific conditions at a young age.
Friends Life have said that Extra Care Cover is ideal to provide help with expenses such as home adaptions to cope with living with the symptoms, further treatment costs or the possible loss of income as a result. The extra sum is paid to those who have already made a claim on their critical illness or total permanent disability policy and are left with severe symptoms that make them eligible for the new benefit.
Robert Morrison, chief underwriter for protection at Friends Life/Aviva, said: "Extra Care Cover will give additional peace of mind to those customers who are left with severe and permanent symptoms, helping them cope financially with the necessary adjustments to their daily lives."
This cover is the latest in a line of Protect+ enhancements that Friends Life have created in recent years, which has been delivering real value to its critical illness policies.
