Over half prefer monthly payouts to lump sum

Recent research from Aegon has found that 58% of people would rather have the option of a monthly payment than a lump sum when policies are paid out. In response, the provider has now added family income benefit to their critical illness and life and critical illness policies, as part of their online protection application service.

Family Income Benefit pays out a monthly income to the beneficiary till the end of the benefit term on the event that the insured person dies or is diagnosed with a critical illness. This is a very useful way to ensure loved ones left behind are able to manage their finances more effectively.

Aegon want to ensure that they have the best system in place to aid advisers in finding the most suitable cover for their clients. That’s why they have responded to feedback and added other improvements to their online process to help more people achieve a lifetime of financial security.

If you would like to find out more about your protection options, browse our quotes page or call us on 0800 024 8685 to arrange a meeting.
