Royal London develops signature free consent form

Making the claims process quick and easy for claimants is something all providers aim for. It is a difficult time as it is, without the added stress of delays. That is why provider Royal London has announced the launch of an electronic signature solution, to speed up the payment of claims.

They have removed the need for a “wet” signature on a traditional paper claim form, by introducing an electronic Access to Medical Records Act (AMRA) declaration through the use of DocuSign technology, which can now be completed online. This will be initially introduced for critical illness claims, with all products receiving the new process in 2018.

Royal London have highlighted that this new process is much quicker than the 18 days a traditional paper claim would normally take to be completed and sent back. The new electronic form means that the same process can be completed in only 48 hours. This will mean claims can be paid much sooner to customers, releasing critical funds when they are needed most.
