Vitality Launches Cancer Relapse Benefit

Vitality Serious illness cover
Leading provider Vitality has made some key changes to its Serious Illness cover. These include new conditions and definitions, multiple claims for heart attack and the recently launched Cancer Relapse Benefit.
This new benefit will mean Vitality will pay out an additional 50% of the sum assured, in the event of the recurrence of cancer. This can be either a relapse of the same cancer or a new primary cancer, after a one year period of remission.
With cancer survival rates at record highs, experts see this as a welcome change considering that relapse is now more likely. Combined with changes to their policy on multiple heart attacks and strokes, Vitality believes that this will mean more claims, and therefore more payouts for consumers.
