Would your family cope without a will?
11th October, 2018
A survey of 3,000 workers has found that most UK adults are taking risks without a will in place, with more than a quarter admitting to having ‘no idea’ how their family would deal with finances without them.
The research by Drewberry Insurance asked 18-65 year olds about their financial plans, revealing a lack of knowledge and understanding regarding the importance of having a will. A will is essential for effectively distributing finances to loved ones on the event of death, making it easier for them to receive funds, and potentially reducing tax burdens.
The survey found that less than 28% had a will; despite one in four admitting that their loved ones would rely heavily on inheritance should they pass away.
